This Radicalisation and Extremism Awareness Program (REAP) has been coordinated by the Commonwealth Attorney General’s Department, on behalf of the Australia New Zealand Counter-Terrorism Committee.
The program content is drawn from experiences of Australian corrections and juvenile justice staff and information provided by security agencies.
At the completion of the workshop, participants will be able to:
•Define the concepts and processes of
radicalisation and violent extremism.
•Differentiate between legitimate beliefs
and behaviours, and indicators of radicalisation.
•Use a set of radicalisation indicators
and examples relevant to the workplace.
•Recognise and report on suspected
incidents or behaviour.
•Explain the importance of professional
behaviour in addressing radicalisation and extremism.
