Records and Information are a critical business asset that underpins every aspect of our agency. DCS is an information rich organisation that manages highly sensitive data and intelligence. This information is used for a myriad of human services including ensuring the safety of the community, clients and staff as well as the provision of programs and rehabilitation services.
As a vial resource, DCS must manage its information assets with the same level of discipline and rigour in which it manages its other key resources, ie, finical assets, physical assets and human resources. This includes ensuring our information assets are authentic, reliable, unable, have integrity and can be easily found upon demand.
This training is the baseline knowledge all DCS employees should understand to appreciate the criticality of these assets as well as their appropriate management.
